What Was I Saying?

Did I say "measly 1-2 weeks" of hot, humid weather? Something has gone terribly wrong with the New England weather dial. The only folks enjoying this is the electric companies. You can hear them laughing maniacally and rubbing their greedy little hands at the thought of the money being owed to them by us sweaty patrons.
*sigh*

That's Just Cruel

We had 2 days of gorgeous warm, sunny, in the 60's, ditch the coat, I-can-see-grass days and this morning I drove the ride from h*ll in sleet, snow and freezing rain. Lost control of the car on a flat section of road going 25 mph. No accident, fortunately, but legs were a bit shaky when I reached my destination. The 8" of snow we got last weekend was enough thank you and easier to drive in.
On the up side the scenery is beautiful and very New Englandy. No longer is there grass peeking through, just a cover of white. Evil white. I'm gearing up for the challenge of the drive home.

There is a Season

Ah, fall in New England. I drive to and from work through some of the prettiest countryside. We're going to have a red fall this year. I wonder if that makes the maple syrup sweeter in the spring? The pic below is in Gill, MA.

A slightly different view of the season, meet Boo (original no?) She resides at the Town Hall.
We've already had a complaint that she's using electricity. People are such fun aren't they?
With the quilt finished the cooler nights can start, I'm ready. The vest is still in process. It's the last day of September. You know what that means? Conway Festival of the Hills is this weekend! Fiber Twist is coming up! October is a busy month for Western MA. My favorite time of year.
